This week I had an amazing time attending two wonderful performances. I attended a private event on Stanford’s campus and my first Broadway show in San Francisco.
Thursday night I had the privilege of attending a private benefit event. I saw a beautiful performance of A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters with legendary actors Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks at Stanford’s Bing Concert Hall.
The story it self is one of my favorites, but to hear his iconic voice in person was awesome.
Before being seated we enjoyed cocktail reception where drinks and delicious appetizers were served.
I got to meet many Stanford alumni, Stanford parents (Hanks and Wilson are Stanford Parents, their son is currently a Freshman), and I even got to talk with Stanford’s new President Marc Tessier-Lavigne. I couldn’t have asked for a better night.
Sunday night, my cousins and aunt made a trip to San Francisco to watch the Lion King! It was my cousins and aunts first time seeing a Broadway show and they loved it! I’ve seen a few Broadway shows in New York City, but this was my first one in San Francisco and this show was fantastic. I love the Disney movie, but this performance was grand. I loved the characters, the actors, and most of all the music!
Here are some pictures we captured after the show.
What are some performances you’re dying to see?!
