Running Log Week 4

Didn’t have a great training week, but I did have a great race on Sunday. No major challenges this week, just some adjustments I’ll have to make: getting used to running in the heat. It’s definitely starting to feel like summer here in CA.

Tuesday 

  • Mileage: 5 miles HILLS
  • Time: 55:25
  • Course: Treadmill…
  • Feelings: Surprisingly wasn’t bad. I DID to HILL intervals and oh man was I sore Wednesday, but it was a really good run!

Thursday

  • Mileage: 4 miles
  • Time: 45:20
  • Course: Treadmill…
  • Feelings: Ugh. Rough run. I think it’s time for some runs out in some fresh air.

Saturday 

  • Mileage: 5K – Walking
  • Course: Dish
  • Feelings: Easy pace, walked the 5K with my mom.

Sunday

  • Mileage:RACE DAY  – Big Sur 10.6 Miler
  • Time: 2:02:20
  • Course: Highway 1
  • Feelings: Good challenging run. I ran the entire time, up hills, down hills, and flats, AND I had a great sprinting finish. Overall the race felt great! I was hoping to finish before the 2 hour mark, but you know what I’ll still accept this time because I did run a challenging course. Looks like I’ll just have to start training harder.
