Boston Marathon: Training Week 2

  • Course: Treadmill
  • Feelings: I’m not a fan of running on the treadmill…I get super bored, but when I can’t get my runs in until 9pm it seems like one of the safest choices.

Tuesday – DAY OFF


  • Mileage: 4 Miles
  • Time: 48:36
  • Course: Treadmill, yes again.


  • Mileage: 2 Miles
  • Time: 24:57
  • Course: Treadmill, again.
  • Feelings: I was hoping to get a longer run in, but couldn’t get myself motivated on the treadmill.


  • Mileage: 4 Miles
  • Time: 47:28
  • Course: Treadmill
  • Feelings: Surprisingly felt really good maybe because the weekend was just a few hours away!


  • Mileage: 7.79 Miles
  • Time: 1:42
  • Course: Palo Alto Baylands
  • Feelings: This was an OK run. It felt good to get out and run at the Baylands. First two miles were rough and miles three through five were all against the wind, I’m just glad I finished it!


Weekly Miles: 20+

Week 2 is DONE! Had a much better week than the last one. I felt stronger during my runs and I was able to get all my run in this week! I’m now feel like training has officially begun. I have all my gear, bought some visibility gear (headlight and vest), two pairs of new shoes, ordered some more socks, and I received a special package from MGH – two new shirts!
