BOSTON MARATHON: TRAINING WEEK 9

Week 9 is DONE!

It’s been a busy week with late night runs, but I’m very proud because I got them ALL DONE!

Earlier this year I applied for the  Palo Alto Citizens Police Academy and two weeks ago I was found out I was accepted! This is a 8-week course designed to foster increased understanding and communication between community members and the police. We had our orientation on Monday and our first class on Wednesday. Orientation ran from 6:30-9pm and our first class ran from 6-9pm and guess what I did after? I went for a run! Monday and Wednesday were both very late nights, but all worth it because the class is an incredible learning experience. I’ll share more on the course later on.

We also happened to have pretty hot winter weather this weekend. I slept in on Saturday, went for a run around 9:30 am and boyyyy do I regret sleeping in. I was finishing up my run around noon and its was about 70 degrees already! It was a HOT run. I took two water bottles in my Nathan Hydration Belt and I had to stop once to fill it up.

Sunday was also very busy! I got up early, went grocery shopping and got all my meals prepped for the week. Once that was done I headed over to my aunts house to watch the Super Bowl. I passed out my Super Bowl Square sheet (congratulations to my four winners and to the Eagles), and we celebrated my uncles birthday.  I’ve got to say, I wasn’t very impressed with this years Justin Timberlake’s Half Time Show, but I did enjoy watching some of the ads. I shared my favorite one’s on my previous post.

  • Mileage: 14.4  Miles
  • Time: 2:50:12
  • Course: Palo Alto Neighborhood to Stanford and back

Sunday – Super Bowl FUNDAY!
