Chicago and New York City Marathon: Back to Training

This is my journey to the 2019 Chicago and New York City Marathon (my fourth and fifth marathons).

This year I’ll be fundraising for the Chicago Marathon and running for the Autism Speaks Team. You can visit my fundraising and join me in helping supporting Autism Speaks by making a donation here.

This time around I want to start my training weeks with some motivational videos with people who do incredible things for people living with Autism.

This week I choose Ben’s that was featured on the Ellen Degenerous show. Ben is an ambassador for the Eagles Autism Challenge, he was diagnosed with autism at the age of two and could not speak, but worked hard with a speech therapist to the point where he’s a big talker today. He currently works two jobs, at Olive Garden and Dorney Park, and brings smiles to customers faces. Check out the video below to see the huge surprised he received from Ellen and Jon Dorenbos.

Now let’s really get ready for the 2019 Chicago and New York City Marathons!

Anyone else start their training? Any success or failure stories? I’d love to hear how your training is going.
